New program funds exhibit on two Cape Breton musicians

By Caitlin Snow Mar 19, 2024 | 12:47 PM

There will be a new exhibit in Richmond County focusing on two Cape Breton musicians.

The Isle Madame Historical Society in Arichat will receive $10,000 through a new One-Time Emerging Culture and Heritage Incentive Program, to fund organizations dedicated to developing culture and heritage in Nov Scotia.

This money will go to an exhibit for Cornelia Boucher and Robert Bouchard.

MLA for Richmond County, Trevor Boudreau says, it’s a “wonderful opportunity” to showcase their contributions to the community and looks forward to seeing the impact this initiative will have on local history.

The program encourages opportunities not currently supported by the existing Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage programming.
