A first for Nova Scotia at this year’s Wharf Rat Rally.

The motorcycle festival in Digby on Labour Day weekend will feature a drone light show.

Organizer Rick Allwright says a new take on fireworks.

“It’s quieter, it doesn’t have the loud bangs. It seems to be very popular, you can create a lot of different designs in the sky,” said Allwright.

It’s happening on the Saturday evening, regular fireworks will still take place the following night.

“It looks like a great opportunity, so we went for it. It’s definitely creating a lot of buzz around the event. We’re expecting a crazy Saturday night in Digby.”

It’s the 20th anniversary of the festival, Allwright says they’re planning on making this year’s event the best yet.
