City police seeking vehicle involved in injuring pedestrian

The Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle.

A 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe sport utility vehicle struck a pedestrian Saturday afternoon near Cornwall Avenue and Machar Avenue.

The SUV is white and police say it may have damage to the front right side and the hood.

City police were responding to a report of a vehicle collision when they found an injured pedestrian upon arrival. The driver responsible for the injuries had already left the scene before their arrival.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
