RCMP are looking into a suspicious incident involving a man and a young girl in Lake Echo.

It happened near a playground on Thomas Street around 2:40 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the man asked her to come in his van, but after seeing another girl at the playground, he ran into the woods.

The man is described as white, with short brown hair, moustache, and facial stubble. He was wearing a jean jacket, black t-shirt, jeans, black shoes and a chain.

RCMP would like to speak to the man regarding the circumstances of the interaction.
