All Nations Hospital project draws support from the province

By Tim Davidson Mar 18, 2024 | 11:08 AM

The All Nations Hospital in Kenora seems to have the support of the provincial government.

A social media post showed up last week announcing a new hospital for Kenora.

President and CEO of the Hospital Ray Racette says he was pleasantly surprised by the post.

“When I saw this I was really excited,”

“I’m going to be retiring at the end of June and we’ve all put our blood, sweat and tears and knowledge and energy into this, and so seeing that announcement, that we’re going to be included, it was emotional for me to see this and also gratifying.”

Jennifer Dreaver is executive director of the Kenora Chiefs Advisory and the post shows the All Nations Hospital project has the support of the province.

“It’s a really beautiful validation of all the hard work that’s gone into this to date.  I’m really here to emphasize the sense of true partnership between the KCA and the hospital, to drive the vision forward.”

The social media post was taken down shortly afterwards, but Racette says it was encouraging non-the-less.
