Finance Minister Allan MacMaster

Nearly a dozen new housing units coming to Inverness County

It’s part of a $58.8 million provincial investment to build 222 units across Nova Scotia.

A three-story public housing building is coming to the site of Bellevue Apartments in Grand Etang.

It will have 11 units and will house up to 32 people with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units.

Finance Minister Allan MacMaster says the project started with a request for an elevator and the need to have accessible units.

“This new public housing building will have an elevator and five fully accessible apartments and will give more people in Inverness County a safe and affordable place to call home.”

Construction will start later this year, to be completed for fall 2025.
