More concerts, more gallery shows and more workshops.

That’s what residents want at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts, according to the chair of the board for the Inverness County Council for the Arts, Beth Ryan.

Two-hundred and seventy-four people responded to the Centre’s community planning survey, offering a wide range feedback.

Ryan says they are ‘thrilled’ with all of the responses.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated, it means a lot.”

The survey was part of a long-term strategic planning process led by local writer and consultant, Morgan Murray.

Murray also hosted a brainstorming session over the weekend, in addition to the survey and is conducting interviews for key funders and partners.

She adds that they are hearing how important the Centre is to the people of Inverness and that its ‘future is very bright.’

Murray will submit a draft plan to the board at their monthly meeting.

She will aim to launch the plan later in the spring.
