Police chief of northern Ontario First Nations under investigation

The chief of police for the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service is being investigated over misconduct allegations.

Roland Morrison has been suspended while the matter is being looked into.

According to the force’s board of directors, Roland will still receive pay while the suspension is enforced but no other details about the allegations are known right now.

Deputy Chief Brad Duce has agreed to serve as in the role for the time being.

No further updates are expected from the board at this time.
