Lunenburg District RCMP is currently looking into two disturbing home invasion incidents that happened in Tanners Settlement.

On March 5, around 2:47 p.m., police rushed to Grimm Rd. and Tanners Settlement in response to a call about a guy who seemed pretty out of it and upset. When they got there, they found a man holding a baton. Thankfully, they were able to get him under control without anyone getting hurt.

The man, a 30-year-old from Halifax, was taken to the hospital by EHS to check him out.

Before the police caught up with him, the man had broken into three nearby homes and attacked some people inside.

At one house on Tanners Settlement Rd., two women aged 24 and 47 got hurt. They were checked out by EHS right there.

At another place on Grimm Rd., a 52-year-old man also got hurt. EHS took care of him too.

In a third house, also on Grimm Rd., a 74-year-old woman let the man use her phone without any trouble.

The man from Halifax is facing a bunch of charges, including assault with a weapon, having a weapon he shouldn’t have, breaking and entering, and not following his probation rules.

He went to court in Bridgewater on March 6 and will stay in custody until his next court date on April 3, 2024.
