Meteghan RCMP have charged a man with firearm offences.
During a police checkpoint on Highway 1 in Church Point on February 22nd, officers noticed unsecured firearms in the backseat of a Toyota Tacoma.
They arrested a 40-year-old Belliveau Cove man.
During a search of the truck, police located and seized one loaded rifle and ammunitions.
The man was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court on April 8th.
