A bronze medal for Yarmouth’s Special Olympics curling team.
They defeated B.C. 5-3 in the third-place game last week in Calgary.
Organizer for the team Gary Hudson says memories were made.
“They made a lot of friends from across the country, and that’s the big experience. The games were great, but those friendships will last forever,” said Hudson.
Nova Scotia’s floor hockey team won gold, they had players from Shelburne County.
Overall, the province brought home 27 medals.
