A retired Thunder Bay resident now has an extra $50,000 following an instant scratch prize.

Daniel Zachary says he loves to play instant games and picked up the ticket at the Arthur Street Shoppers Drug Mart.

“It took me 15 minutes after discovering this win to call a friend to come over and confirm what I was seeing. He took me to the store where I validated the ticket. I feel very blessed,” Daniel shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his win.

When the 66-year-old told his wife, the couple did a happy dance in their living room.

As for what he plans to do with his winnings, Zachary says he just plans to enjoy it with his wife.
