Thunder Bay is hosting a culture open house, to allow residents a look at the Recreation and Culture division’s draft framework for its new Culture Plan.

Residents can drop in to see the open house dubbed “Culture Vibes” for free. The open house will feature live music and art activities and will offer residents an opportunity to provide feedback

“The plan will help ensure that the community has access and the necessary supports in place to engage with the arts, culture and heritage sector,” said the Supervisor of Cultural Development, Community Programming & Events Louisa Costanzo. “We are excited to connect with the community tonight for this interactive opportunity in a creative setting featuring some of the amazing local talent our city has to offer.”

This comes as Nordicity the consultant for the city’s cultural plan, provided a presentation on the framework of the plan at city council on Monday.

Culture Vibes is running from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 at the Baggage Building Arts Centre.

Those unable to attend the open house can still provide feedback for the plan online via the City’s Get Involved platform here.
