Stratton’s Trevor Bonot is 2-1 after the second day of play at the Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Bonot, who curls out of Thunder Bay, defeated the Andrew Symonds rink from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador 9-8 in a Sunday morning draw.

In the evening draw, Bonot exchanged two-enders all game long with Manitoba’s Reid Carruthers before Manitoba scored the deciding point in the 10th end for a 9-8 win.

Brad Jacobs, who represented Northern Ontario at the Brier 11 time, is skipping the Manitoba team.

Bonot’s next game is Monday afternoon against Alberta’s Brendan Bottcher.
