Nominations for the City of Dieppe’s volunteer recognition evening, Les Chalins, are now being accepted.

Les Chalins is an awards evening organized by the city to highlight outstanding contributions by volunteers.

Residents and community organizations can nominate individuals who’ve done volunteer work over the past year in one of the following categories:

• Seniors
• Sports and recreation
• Francophonie and culture
• Environment
• Community involvement
• Involvement by a newcomer
• Youth involvement

“We’re looking forward to celebrating our Chalins, or flashes of warmth, in style at the Wingate hotel,” says community officer Jonathan Desroches.

“It’s important to come together and highlight the contribution of our many volunteers to our growing community and the positive impact they have on the quality of life of our residents.”

The finalists and their families will be invited to the Les Chalins gala on April 17.
