By Caitlin Snow Feb 28, 2024 | 2:04 PM

Lots of rain and wind are hitting the province again.

Rainfall warnings have been issued for mainland Nova Scotia and wind warnings for the entire province.

Environment Canada is calling for 25 to 50mm, even up to 65 mm, starting Wednesday and persisting into Thursday.

Showers and even thundershowers could be expected overnight, with most of the rain expected Wednesday night.

Localized flooding is possible.

Wind gusts could reach 100 km/h by Wednesday night until Thursday morning but will stay strong until Thursday afternoon for Cape Breton.

The forecaster says they expect temperatures to drop after the rain ends.
