The five former members of Canada’s world junior hockey team charged with sexual assault will have their case heard by a jury.
The Globe and Mail is reporting the players will be tried together as a group in relation to a 2018 sexual assault of a woman in London, Ontario.
In a statement to the publication, lawyers representing the players say they’re confident that jurors will decide the case fairly and impartially.
The report says it will still be months before a date is decided.
The five players are NHLers Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod and former Ottawa Senator Alex Formenton.
