A collision which took place early Wednesday morning has resulted in charges against a Brampton resident.

Ontario Provincial Police say the incident occurred just after midnight when a pick-up truck collided with a commercial motor vehicle on Highway 17 in Machin Township.

The 21-year-old driver of the pick-up was taken to hospital as a result for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation has yielded Highway Traffic Act charges against that same driver including:

• Careless Driving
• Attempt to Pass – Roadway Not Clear – Approaching Traffic
