A majority of Nova Scotians are satisfied with the performance of the provincial government.

According to the latest poll from Narrative Research, 52 percent of respondents are happy with the Houston government.

That’s down one percentage point from November’s survey.

Satisfaction is highest in mainland Nova Scotia outside of Halifax, and lowest in Cape Breton.

If an election were held today, 49 percent of Nova Scotians would vote for the Progressive Conservatives, one quarter would vote Liberal and one fifth would select the NDP.

Tim Houston remains the preferred choice as Premier at 35 percent, the Liberals Zach Churchill is at 17 percent and the NDP’s Claudia Chender at 13 percent.
