Nova Scotia has the second-longest wait times in the country for walk-in clinics, but there is some improvement.

A company that connects patients with healthcare providers collected wait-time numbers from 1,200 partner practices in six provinces.

Medimap says the average wait was 72 minutes last year in this province while the national average was around 68.

However, wait times here were down 11 minutes from 2022 while elsewhere in the country they nearly doubled.

Nova Scotian’s can now seek care at pharmacies, book walk-in appointments on the phone and find services using the YourHealthNS app.
