After months of searching a new Chief Executive Officer has been found for the Thunder Bay Airport.

Graham Ingham will take over the post on April 1st.

The Board of Directors selected Ingham following what it says was an extensive national search facilitated by the firm Meridian Edge Executive Search Consulting.

Prior to his selection, Ingham served as the CEO of the Red Deer Regional Airport for the past seven years, during which he directed the largest expansion of the facilities history.

Coming to Thunder Bay is also a return to his roots in a way as he spent several years as a pilot for Bearskin Airlines and was based out of the city.

Ingham says he looks forward to returning with a vision that embraces growth, resilience, and community empowerment.

“Together we will navigate challenges and seize opportunities to position the Thunder Bay Airport as a key player in the global aviation landscape.”

Adding his commitment to elevating the passenger experience, forging strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and implementing strategic initiatives that will “propel Thunder Bay Airport to new heights”.

Ingram takes over from CEO Ed Schmidtke who announced he would be retiring on March 1st.
