An Atikokan man has pleaded guilty to leaving a camper trailer in the same location at a lake northwest of the community last year.
In Ontario those enjoying the outdoors are not allowed to occupy a camp site on public lands for more than 21 days.
Court heard conservation officers first took note of Michael Cox’s trailer at the Williamson Lake landing on May 14th, 2023.
Officers repeatedly noted the camper remained in the same location until it was removed on June 25th, after Cox had been contacted.
Cox has been fined $1,800 as a result.
