ATMs stolen during Hillsborough break-ins

By Regis Phillips Feb 21, 2024 | 11:49 AM

RCMP are asking for help to identify three suspects after two businesses were broken into in Hillsborough.

Police believe the incidents happened within minutes of each other on Main Street shortly after 12:45 a.m. Monday.

The suspects stole an ATM from each store — with about $15,000 inside of each — along with alcohol bottles and cigarette cartons.

Officers have released surveillance footage photos of the three individuals in hopes that someone may recognize them.

Investigators say the suspects were wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves. One was wearing camouflage pants, another had on blue jeans, and the third was wearing rubber boots.

RCMP are asking anyone who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity to contact them at 506-387-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
