A 23-year-old is facing 10 charges including attempted murder after a shooting in Dartmouth.
Police were called after gunshots were reported early Monday morning near the intersection of Catherine Street and Lahey Road.
A person was taken to hospital for treatment and police described the injuries as “non life-threatening”.
The 23-year-old is due in court Tuesday and is facing the following charges.
• Attempted Murder
• Use of firearm in the commission of offense
• Careless handling of firearm x 2
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Possession of prohibited device
• Unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle x 2
• Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition x 2
Investigators are asking anyone with information about illegal firearms to contact police at 902-490-5016.
