It’s day four of the strike at the Mount.
Full-time faculty, lab instructors and librarians walked off the job Monday.
The Mount Saint Vincent Faculty Association (MSVFA) say some of the core issues they are fighting for include equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility.
Meanwhile, the Board of Governors says their latest offer included more money and benefits.
The Board says they share the MSVFA’s vision for equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, as well as to decolonization.
They say they will continue to discuss how to ‘further incorporate these principles’ into the collective agreement.
Rally in solidarity
As the strike continues, however, the MSVFA says they are calling on not only students, faculty and alumni, but community members to come in solidarity for a rally outside the University Friday.
It will be on the Bedford Highway at noon.
