The incident happened in the Marsh Street area between around 7 p.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

In a news release Wednesday, police said a “large quantity” of 1.14-litre bottles of El Dorado rum were taken during the incident.

“These bottles are not currently sold in New Brunswick,” said the news release.
