Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a report that a vehicle had collided with a building on Friday just before midnight.

Officers were dispatched to an address on the 1000 block of Dawson Road for the collision.

Upon arrival, officers observed signs of impairment from the driver.

The driver was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for assessment and treatment and was later brought to the Thunder Bay Police Service station.

Further testing determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.

As a result, a 32-year-old Thunder Bay resident has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).
