The Yarmouth Mariners ended a four-game losing streak in Pictou County.
They beat the Crushers 5-2 Thursday night to move within two points of them for the last playoff spot in the division.
Michael Marquez and Nathan Mossey each had a goal and an assist, and Thomas Fontaine stopped 20 shots.
Yarmouth has the day off before hosting Miramichi Saturday night.
