One man was airlifted to hospital after a serious head-on collision in Porters Lake on Hwy 7, involving a school bus.

RCMP say it was yesterday afternoon around 3:15 p.m. near Post Office Rd., when a Honda Pilot and the bus crashed.

The driver of the Honda, a 41-year-old Lake Echo man has life-threatening injuries, while the two passenger children were not physically injured.

The driver and ten youths on the bus, were treated at the scene.

The highway was closed for several hours.

The investigation continues.
