An uptown Saint John pharmacy is on the move, but you will not need to go far to find it.

Lawtons Drugs, located on the first floor of Brunswick Square, is relocating within the mall.

It is one of just a handful of businesses left on the first floor of the uptown shopping centre.

Slate Asset Management, which owns the mall, said they are helping to relocate the store “to a more active and visible site within the mall.”

“Their new space will place them alongside other businesses and retailers that are currently driving foot traffic at Brunswick Square,” a spokesperson said in an email.

The spokesperson declined to provide details about the new location, noting that construction is underway.

Several storefronts directly above the current Lawtons location on the busier second floor are currently under construction.

Much of the mall’s foot traffic is on the second floor, which connects to the indoor pedway and Saint John City Market.
