Some change in the executive of the Kenora District Services Board.

Red Lake mayor Fred Mota takes over from Barry Baltessen as chair.

Baltessen, who represents the Lake of the Woods North Unincorporated area, will still remain on the executive of the KDSB as vice-chair.

Henry Wall is the Chief Administrative Officer of the KDSB and says both will serve the board well.

“Fred will bring a new voice and perspective as Board Chair with experience across multiple sectors to provide valuable insight,” says Wall.

“Barry’s continued years of experience, knowledge, and leadership will help guide the organization in moving forward.”

Baltessen replaces Mark Sobchuck from the Lac Seul Unincorporated areas.

The next meeting of the KDSB board will be on Thursday, February 15th.
