Snow clearing crews in Halifax are working to get streets and sidewalks cleaned up after the storm.
The city will keep its parking ban in the place for a second straight night.
It means no parking on the street between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. or risk a fine or a tow.
It comes after the city was covered in 15 to 20 centimetres of snow.
The blustery weather cancelled classes at schools, universities and colleges throughout the province and led to many offices and recreation centres being closed.
