Five businesses across northwestern Ontario have completed a three month intensive program to help launch their products.

The five were the winners of the Northwest Innovation Center’s Co-Starter 2.0 program.

In Kenora, the app Woblu was selected for the business development grant.

It’s on on-line site where plumbers, carpenters, h-vac techs, handymen and electricians can connect to anyone needing their services.

In Thunder Bay, Katcha Pet Toys, Silver Vantage Software, Skillsun and Waves and Frequencies were selected.

Each of the Co-starter winners received $18,000 to help set up their business.
