A 29-year-old Eskasoni man is facing several charges after an incident on Spencers Lane in Eskasoni.

RCMP say it was Wednesday morning when a man, in breach of his previous charges, got into a verbal fight with two others, known to him before running away.

RCMP found the man on Mountain Rd and tried to arrest him.

Two RCMP offers involved were assaulted, with one suffering serious injuries.

The suspect will be in court Monday facing these charges:

•           Assault a Peace Officer;
•           Resisting a Peace Officer;
•           Uttering Threats (two counts);
•           Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling-House;
•           Failure to Comply with Release Conditions (six counts);
•           Failure to Comply with Probation Order (two counts).
