Charges following Highway 11 collisions

One person was taken to hospital for minor injuries following a collision on Highway 11 in the Greenstone area Sunday.

It occurred near Reflection Lake around 8:45 p.m. involving a single commercial vehicle with two occupants according to police and required first responders from both Greenstone and Nipigon to attend.

It prompted a highway closure for almost twelve hours.

As a result a 29 year old man from British Columbia has been charged with careless driving.

Meanwhile, a second collision near Klotz Lake, east of Longlac, occurred early Monday morning.

It involved two tractor trailer units and a snow plow.

Miraculously, despite the damage seen in photos posted to social media only minor injuries were reported.

One man, a 32 year old from Manitoba was also charged with careless driving.
