An 84-year-old resident of Atikokan has been charged with stunt driving.

OPP says the motorist was caught doing 142 kilometres an hour on Highway 11 near Atikokan early Saturday morning.

The driver also lost his driver’s license for 30 days and had his vehicle impounded for two weeks.

The person is scheduled to appear in court on the stunt driving charge at a later date.
