Lower Sackville man facing slew of drugs and firearms charges

A 50-year-old Lower Sackville man is facing more than half a dozen drugs and firearms charges.

Wednesday morning law officials searched a home on Tache St in Lower Sackville, as part of an ongoing investigation.

During the arrest, they seized 10 grams of cocaine pre-packaged for distribution and 20 hydromorphine pills.

Once inside the home, officers seized scales, over $4,000 in cash, more than 30 grams of cocaine, and over 500 hydromorphine pills, as well as eight handguns and a loaded shot gun.

During a search of his vehicle, another 12 grams of pre-packed cocaine was found.

The suspect will appear in court today facing these charges:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine and Hydromorphone) for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Careless Use of a Firearm (eight counts)
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm (eight counts)
  • Transfer of a Firearm Without Authority (two counts)
  • Failure to Report Losing a Firearm (two count)
