City seeking participants for community event series

The City of Thunder Bay has begun its annual call for participation in the 2024 Community Events series.

Food vendors, event vendors, musicians, artists/artisans, buskers, street performers and community groups are invited to apply.

The 2024 line-up of events spans over 12 dates and includes the Live on the Waterfront event series.

Vendors offering culturally diverse and engaging activities and opportunities, including face painting, balloon artistry, temporary tattoo artists, and a variety of other captivating, family-friendly offerings, are encouraged to apply.

All events are free to the public and the 2024 Community Event series includes the following events:

  • Quest: Tech & Gaming – May 10 and 11
  • Kite Festival – June 9
  • Canada Day – July 1
  • Teddy Bears Picnic – July 9
  • Live on the Waterfront – Wednesday evenings from July 17 to August 21
  • Live on the Waterfront – Summer Send off – August 28 and 29
  • Culture Days – September 20 through October 13
