Another round of messy wintry weather has its sights set on the province for Tuesday.

Snow will move in across southern New Brunswick throughout the afternoon and evening.

It will change to rain for most areas Tuesday night and come to an end before morning.

Environment Canada says most areas will see around five to 10 centimetres of snow.

However, St. Stephen, Oromocto and Grand Lake could see as much as 15 centimetres.

Meanwhile, a special weather statement has been issued for St. Stephen, Fredericton, Oromocto, Grand Lake, Kent County and Kouchibouguac National Park.

Forecasters an extended period of freezing rain is possible Tuesday night along the developing rain-snow boundary. Total ice accretion of between three and eight millimetres is possible.

Northern and central New Brunswick, including Fredericton, are under snowfall warnings, with up to 25 centimetres of snow possible.

More details can be found on Environment Canada’s website.
