Another update has been released regarding the Ontario Special Investigations Unit case regarding the death of a 21 year old woman in Thunder Bay.

The SIU says it’s currently doing witness interviews and has reviewed the 911 recordings of the incident on December 30th.

The SIU says the 911 call was not as a result of violence in the Ray Boulevard home.

Instead, the caller indicated that an unwanted woman with court conditions was in her home.

She was worried that her son, who was not supposed to be around the woman, could be arrested for violating those conditions.

She asked for police to remove the woman from her home, but she subsequently contacted police to cancel the call for service because the woman had left.

The SIU says other information about their investigation is limited.

In the meantime, funeral services for Jenna Ostberg were held on Thursday on the Bearskin Lake First Nation.
