Muskies win border battle

The Fort Frances Muskies girls hockey team defeated the International Falls Broncos 11-0 in a game played at the Ice for Kids Arena Tuesday night.

Courtney McCoy led the scoring with four goals.

Jerzi Calder and Emma Wilson each had a pair of goals.

Marlee Bliss, Bella Fry, and Avery Sinclair rounded out the Muskies scoring.

The win concludes a three-game series played between the two teams this season.

The Muskies won the previous contests in December by scores of 5-0 and 8-1.

In boys’ hockey, the Broncos varsity team was dumped 15-1 by the Rock Ridge Wolverines.

Cooper Crandall had the lone marker for the Broncos.

In boys’ basketball, the Broncos varsity team fell 100-75 to the Northland Eagles.

Landon Budris led the Falls in scoring with 18 points. Hendrix Torgerson chipped in 13.

The Broncos junior varsity team was edged 32-30 by the Eagles.

In NorWossa A league action, the Rainy River Owls lost to the Red Lake Rams 60-21.
