Lunenburg District RCMP is actively investigating a significant ATV crash that unfolded in Martins Point.

On January 8, at 6:53 p.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, in collaboration with the fire department and Emergency Health Services (EHS), swiftly responded to an ATV crash located off the Chester Connection trail near Barkhouse Rd. Preliminary reports indicate that the ATV operator was ejected from the vehicle upon colliding with a rock while navigating the trail.

The ATV operator, a 25-year-old resident of Martins Point, sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident. Emergency Health Services promptly transported him to South Shore Hospital, from where he was subsequently airlifted by LifeFlight to Halifax for further medical attention.

As of now, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
