WREN conducting cell-service survey

By Kevin Northup Jan 9, 2024 | 10:17 AM

A local organization is documenting cell coverage issues in the Tri-Counties.

The Western Regional Enterprise Network has a survey out, asking residents to report their specific problems in getting connected.

Angelique LeBlanc with the WREN says having cell service is critical.

“A lot of people are frustrated, and we do note that. The more specific we can be, the better we’ll be able to solve those problems down the road. It’s critical for emergency services, but also for businesses and working in the region. Post-pandemic, we’ve really come to rely on this technology,” says LeBlanc.

The province is putting 47 million dollars to expand cell service, and LeBlanc says they don’t want to be left behind.

The online survey is open until the end of the month.
