No cause has yet been identified for a house fire in Fort Frances.

The blaze broke out Sunday night just after 11 o’clock at a home in the 800 block of Nelson Street.

Six full-time and six part-time firefighters and the fire chief with the Fort Frances Fire Rescue Service responded with a pumper truck, an aerial ladder truck, and a rescue pickup truck.

Their quick response helped contain the flames to an upstairs bedroom.

Other parts of the home suffered smoke damage.

The home occupants were able to escape without injuries.
