The Kenora U18 AAA Thistles split their games against the Interlake Lightning over the weekend.

Yesterday, the Thistles earned a 6-5 victory, coming back from a 5-0 deficit.

The Thistles scored six straight goals.

Tallen Caron scored a pair of goals, including the game winner midway through the third period.

Hudson Gagne, Bo Gartzke, Callum McCormick, and Cole Bodnar also scored for the Thistles.

On Saturday, Kenora dropped a 4-1 decision.

Carter Peters had the lone goal for Thistles in that game.

The Thistles have opened 2024 with a 2-1 record, and recorded as many wins in the first week of the new year as in the first half of the season.

Kenora is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Winnipeg to take on the Thrashers.
