David Soul, best known for his TV role in Starsky and Hutch, has died.
The American-British actor and pop singer was 80.
According to multiple reports, in a weekend statement, his family only said he died after a “valiant battle for life.”
Besides portraying Detective Ken Hutchinson in the popular cop show in the 1970s, Soul topped the music charts with “Don’t Give Up on Us” and “Silver Lady” in the US and UK.
One of my first TV roles was on Starsky & Hutch. David Soul and I ran into each other frequently after that, and every time he was so warmhearted and funny. He also did an episode of Partners in Crime with me and Loni Anderson years later. We’ll miss you, David. pic.twitter.com/DNkpmUa5hV
