A deal has been closed and a property in the Sioux Lookout area with the potential for gold mining has a new owner.
On January 3rd Ashley Gold announced it has acquired the Burnhut Property, located just south of the community on Minnitaki Lake.
History has mining activity in the area dating back to the late 1800’s according to the company.
Last year several veins of gold were located.
The property is party of a line of potential mineral deposits, which connects as far south as to the Treasury Metals and Goldlund exploration areas.
