Pinecrest Home for the Aged says two units are now affected by respiratory illness outbreaks

Last week there was one confirmed case of influenza in Unit 4.

It has since been resolved, but five residents are currently waiting for tests to come back.

An outbreak of an unknown respiratory illness has been declared in Unit 2.

Three people have symptoms and have swabs sent out to be tested by the Northwestern Health Unit.

Pinecrest says only two essential caregivers are allowed to visit at one time on the outbreak units
