By Caitlin Snow Jan 2, 2024 | 3:47 PM

RCMP are investigating a couple of home invasions in HRM.

The first was Friday evening on Deepwoods Landing in Gaetz Brook.

Police say the suspect forced a man at gunpoint, who was operating an excavator, inside the home.

He then stole $200,000 worth of items from a safe and restrained the victim before leaving.

The second was on New Years Day just before noon in Upper Tantallon on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd.

RCMP say two men entered the home and restrained a man and woman, taking several items, including cash.

They drove away in a black 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, which was found and seized shortly after on Hwy 3 near exit 2.

The suspects were wearing ski masks and dark coloured hoodies, one man described as 6’3”, and the other 5 feet.

The victims were not injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
