Don’t expect a federal election this year.

That’s the feeling of Kenora MP Eric Melillo.

He suggests the agreement between the NDP and Liberals is still holding strong.

“It’s outside of my hands, but we’re ready for an election anytime, that’s part of the business,” states Melillo.

“But with the current government agreement between the NDP and the Liberals, the NDP continue to support every single budget measure and every single confidence measure.”

Melillo adds the Conservatives put forward 134 confidence votes and each one was defeated thanks the Liberal and NDP MP’s.

“I think that just shows the commitment the has in keeping the Liberal government in power.”

Melillo says the Conservative will continue to hold the government accountable, even if they can’t force an election.
